awamiba: clock with a different excuse for each hour of the day (excuses)

I've drifted off course, writing-wise, lately.  I started off doing very well writing in the paper journal daily, but sometime last week I just...stopped.  I didn't write daily personal stuff or daily fiction or anything else at all outside of my To Do list.

What did I do in the meantime?  I watched the entire Cranford & Return to Cranford & Little Dorritt series' on Masterpiece Classic.  That's about it.  It's amazing to me how good television can suck you away from priorities.

Anyway, I spent yesterday afternoon working away on the novel.  I completed homework for 2YN through week 7.  I like to stay ahead, just in case life intervenes one week and I get nothing done.  Staying three weeks ahead gives me lots of wiggle room.

There was something else, but I've once again forgotten it.  Maybe later.

You're so far ahead!

I'm on schedule, though I haven't yet posted Assignment #2. This week I have been feeling like I have to force myself to do everything, which is...ugh!

How are you liking the book? I am still trying to decide if I should buy it or not.

Ah, that makes sense. :)

I'm not sure I like the order, either, but on the other hand I feel like thinking about some of these wide-scope notions early on are kind of helpful, because it's this kind of thing that would rise up and freeze me every time I tried to work on it! So I'm just trying to trust the process. Once I've done it once, I'll be free to do it whatever way makes the most sense to me (and it's also a good way to illuminate what I think makes sense & why).
